Tool Suggestion: Are you using Grammarly?

Have you ever discovered a typo in one of your property adverts after it had already gone live? When this used to happen to me, my heart would sink.

How many potential buyers and sellers would have noticed that mistake? How embarrassing.

Firstly, don't beat yourself up too much if you find a typo. In real estate, we often rush around at a million miles per hour dealing with tight deadlines and our day can be full of distractions. Mistakes can happen.

Thankfully, there is a tool which can help. It's called Grammarly and it checks everything you write on your computer as you write it, making suggestions along the way.

It won't protect you from every possible mistake but it will improve the quality of your writing and save you from most typos. The basic version is free and effective.

You can install it on your laptop, desktop, or as a Chrome browser extension.

Click here to visit the Grammarly website.

Installation options

  • Install Grammarly’s free browser extension, to help you write correctly on nearly every site on the web. You will see the green Grammarly logo in the bottom right corner of every text field that is being checked by Grammarly.
  • Additionally, you can copy and paste any English text into Grammarly’s Editor or desktop app.
  • To check your writing directly in Microsoft Office, you may use Grammarly for Microsoft Office on Windows or Mac.
  • You can even install Grammarly for iOS or Android to ensure everything you write on mobile is mistake-free.

Music to get you through your Friday:

Personally, I find a good song can change my mood entirely. At the end of the week, our energy can wane and sometimes we need some motivation to make the last working day of the week count.
