A few months back I wrote an intro guide on real estate podcasts:

In every market, there will at some point be a ‘Wellington real estate podcast’ or ‘South Sydney real estate podcast’ that updates local owners on property news, local stats, recent sales and offers educational tips and advice for buyers and sellers. Why not own this space before anyone else?

For those of you looking for a unique way to stand out from the crowd, I strongly recommend starting your own podcast.

Once you get the hang of it, they are easy to produce. You can use Agent Monday articles for your content and you don't have to worry about looking pretty like you would in a video. Heck, you can record podcasts in your underwear if you want to.

It's also free if you use an editing tool like Audacity and a host like Acast. Although it does pay to invest in a decent microphone.

To show you how this works, I recorded a podcast using one of our recent feature articles: When to adjust your asking price. The whole process (recording, uploading etc.) took me about 30 minutes.

To subscribe to the show, search 'Simply Property' on Spotify, Apple podcasts, Google podcasts or any popular podcast app.

I don't usually post Agent Monday content on my blog or on my Simply Property podcast channel because I want to keep those articles separate - they are just for you, my wonderful members! But I recorded this one to show you how easily you could turn one of our feature articles into a podcast.

What I love about podcasts is the ease of distribution. Now that I have uploaded that episode, it will be downloaded hundreds of times. The podcast host handles distributing it to Spotify, Apple podcasts, Google podcasts and all the other popular channels. And because this is evergreen content, it has a long shelf-life. It's up there working away, helping people out for as long as I leave it online.
