What I'd be doing this week to get more listings...
This is it - your last working week of the year.
Most agents have already switched off by now, leaving you with a golden opportunity: You can maximise your summer income by making a few smart moves before you sign off for 2025.
For many homeowners in your area, selling will be on the horizon, and the Christmas holiday is often when key real estate decisions are made. So any marketing you do now has the potential for a huge payoff if you can get your messaging in front of the right people.
Here's your playbook for the week
The biggest questions potential sellers will likely have around selling in the new year are:
- Timing / when to sell.
What date should they target getting on the market to secure the best possible price?
- How to add maximum value to their home.
What quick changes can they make to their home which will increase their chances of selling well, for a solid price?
Where should they invest time / money / energy while they have a few weeks to get ready?
Give owners what they want
Your messaging should aim to answer these questions. Or at least, offer to answer them.
So first up - get clear on when you want new year campaigns to start?
In Wellington, we always advised starting in late January, after Wellington anniversary weekend, when most buyers are back in town from their Summer holiday.
